Hey! I'm Ismaeel

I'm a Computer Engineering student at New York University and a software engineer. Most of my shipped work sits in backend platforms, financial and data workflows, cloud infrastructure, and commerce.

Outside work, I build closer to the machine: Linux drivers, C and C++, profiling, and the hardware/software boundary. That production experience is the foundation for where I'm heading next: performance-sensitive, low-level, and quantitative systems.

Looking for engineering work where the details matter

I'm interested in internships and engineering roles involving performance, reliability, and correctness. If that is what you're building, I'd like to hear about it.
